What a great Auto Repair Shop! Alexander, s last name comes from Thai Royalty dating back to 1913. And was given his last name by Thai Royalty as being very honorable! This shop is very good and I mean very good! It upholds its standards which is very, very treasured here in Honolulu! My vehicle is a 1999 GMC stepvan and not many companies can work on it ! I stumbled upon Alexander Automotive by chance when our Porsche Turbo Cayenne needed repair. Alex was excellent in diagnosing and repairing our Porsche. Alex has been our go to ever since. Since, he’s repaired our Dodge Durango. He’s a small shop, so you’ll have to wait, but well worth the wait.

If you’re looking for a mechanic with true aloha, this is the place! I’m new to the area and needed a mechanic ASAP. After calling around, Alexander’s Automotive was the only shop that could get me in the next day and they had a reasonable diagnostic fee that’s waived if they find and fix the issue! I brought my car in, and they quickly identified and resolved the problem. What really stood out was how Alex and his team took the time to explain everything clearly so I could understand what the problem was. As a woman, I’ve dealt with my fair share of mechanics who try to take advantage, assuming I don’t know anything about cars but not here. Alex and his crew were nothing but kind, respectful, and helpful. Their pricing is fair, their work is solid, and they truly embody the spirit of aloha. 🤙🏼

Alexander Automotive did a superb job in replacing a major leak in my 2018 Mercedes SUV GLC300. He was very thorough & knowledgeable. He is a great communicator. He met the expected timelines and his rates are very affordable. I will also bring my Audi 4000 for repair & maintenance. He is simply the Best!

Alex is awesome! I brought a car I was looking at buying in for a pre-purchase inspection ($80) and he squeezed me in on short notice. If he can't answer your call, he gets back to you via text right away. His inspection was thorough (he even let me come along for the test drive) and he was honest and while the car I was looking at needed repairs (which he showed me the evidence of along with estimates), I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on a thing. He said he looks at cars like he was going to have his mother drive them and I think that's evident in the quality of his work and his transparency. He's a straight shooter and a seemingly stand up guy - I'll definitely be back.

These guys are great. Alexander Automotive was referred to me by McCully Union Service, where I go for my safety checks. I asked them for a trustworthy mechanic, and they recommended Alexander Automotive. Alex was honest, fair, and easy to work with. My truck had a 4x4 issue, and I had taken it to a few different shops for diagnostics. None of them were able to pinpoint the problem or wanted to take on the work. Alex, on the other hand, was willing to help right away. He identified the faulty part just by listening to the noise over the phone and then confirmed it with a quick diagnostic. He clearly explained my options and what needed to be done. I dropped off my truck in the morning and had it back the same day, running great with no issues. His labor pricing was very fair as well. Honestly, this was the best experience I’ve had with a mechanic in Hawaii. I’m very pleased with his service and will definitely be back for future work.
